On this brightly lit day in Grand Rapids, the shadows cast contrasted greatly over the contours of the Third Elevation of Spire.

They were able to transform an abandoned building at 2 East Fulton Street into a beautifully curated arts exhibition. My eldest brother, Hans, (I am the youngest of seven) came to visit from Austria and see Spire. I am so glad that he and I could spend some time together after the competition was over.
The way that people engage with my work is very important to me. I want them to have a new experience in a space that they would not have had without the installation of my work. What different architectural vantage points can one find within the space?
